Recently I dumped my video I was renting, and the one in our back room. We'll be getting Sky+ for the backroom but since dumping mine I've had the odd moment where I wished I could tape something. So I cleared space and played around with the settings on my ATI card, since it can act as a video. I've never really used it for that, space being the main issue. The other issue is that it only really works via my mic port, which I need for Teamspeak / Ventrillo voice chat. I haven't really had a need for them in recent months so I guess its not a big problem. After a bit of hacking around I finally got it all working. I could schedule a program to record and set Sky to turn over and it'd work. I've quite enjoyed my system recording Friends @ 7:30am so I can watch it when I awake. The only glitch being that sometimes it doesn't re-mute the audio afterwards.

To add to the coolness, I've installed Digiguide again after reading it can control my ATI scheduler. So now I can browse Digiguide and set it to record things. I have to remember to set Sky to turn over though. I've seen, for £60, I can get an Infrared remote for my PC and that can turn Sky over for me. Kinda cool, but a bit pricey. Still, Tivo like functionality is rather nice :)

I don't see why I should have to turn off the comment system just because some fucker wants to make £10. As good as MT-Blacklist is, it could be better or maybe I just want it to be.
