Today I'm featured on Self Portrait Day. Its a really clever idea, a nice site, and a fun way to "meet" new people. See if you can guess which one is me :D
On Monday I wasn't going to buy GT4. On Tuesday I wasn't going to buy GT4. On Wednesday, when GT4 was released, I bought GT4. Even though I didn't like GT3 because I couldn't get any licenses so I could do any races, I still bought GT4. Why? I love racing games. GT4 has 700 cars, from a nice panda Trueno 86 to a Subaru Impreza WRX STi. It has "the ring" too, which is noticebly different from PGR2's version. So after 3 days of playing it what do I think? I love it. I have bought an 86, a Skyline and a Supra. The Supra flies around the track, its got like 400bhp and is a great drive. The 86 dips so much when you brake, its funny. The Skyline is begging to be tweaked :)
I've spent most of last night working through the licenses. Either GT4 is easier or I've got better thanks to PGR2. Either way I've managed to get B, iB and A licenses so far. Next is iA and the Specials license. I feel confident in getting them. I'm working my way through the driving missions so I can get the Delorean and then the world is my oyster :)
I also love the Photo mode which lets me take pictures from any replay. Check out my GT4 photo mode gallery.
Apologies to Ian but I bought a Force FX Lightsaber. Yes I know it was £100 for a toy, but its a toy I've wanted since I first saw Star Wars all those years ago. In the dark it is just the coolest thing ever. You can view a 3GP movie of it in action. (Quicktime will play it)
Gotta love that. It can't even find its own pages, and god only knows why the CSS broke in Firefox.
